The Microwave Unit (MINI-LINK) within Ericsson Hungary R&D is looking for software developer interns to support the development of the MINI-LINK node. MINI-LINK is a well-known trademark of Ericsson’s microwave transport solution within the radio system with more than 3 million sold units. It is a scalable, flexible, modular and robust microwave transmission system used primarily in mobile networks, supporting both Time-division multiplexing (TDM) and Ethernet traffic. The product is Linux based and the source code is written in C/C++, automated tests are done in Java. The Smart Services Router (SSR) provides operators with a highly scalable, consolidated platform that offers services for both fixed and mobile network infrastructures. It offers services such as IP/MPLS edge routing and Evolved Packet Gateway functionalities. SSR enables complete network convergence so subscribers can access services from any devices or locations. Ericsson Hungary is a main contributor in the development of the SSR product in direct cooperation with other Ericsson sites.
